Nightlife: The Club & Music Scene Frommer

Live Music--Hong Kong does not have the kind of jazz-, rock-, or blues-club scene that many other cities do. On the other hand, live music is such a standard feature of many restaurants, hotel cocktail lounges, and bars, that it would be hard not to hear live music in the SAR. Although some establishments levy a cover charge, most charge absolutely nothing.

Bars, lounges, and clubs offering live music include Chasers, Delaney's, Lobby Lounge (in the Hotel InterContinental Hong Kong), Ned Kelly's Last Stand, and Sky Lounge, all in Kowloon; the Captain's Bar, Cyrano, and Insomnia in Central; Dusk til Dawn, JJ's, and Old China Hand in Wan Chai; and TOTT's Asian Grill & Bar in Causeway Bay.

Among the many restaurants with free live music are Gaddi's, Hugo's, Margaux, and Sabatini, all in Kowloon; Petrus in Central; Cafe Deco on the Peak; and 27 Restaurant & Bar and TOTT's Asian Grill & Bar, both in Causeway Bay.
